Karina Esperanza Yánez is an art educator and administrator whose goal is to provide students with the tools to use the arts as a vehicle for meaningful civic and community engagement. She has worked with schools, cultural institutions, and community organizations to bring that vision to life. Karina is a multidisciplinary artist who often experiments with printmaking, sewing, painting, and everything else in between. 

She holds two Graduate degrees: one from the Rhode Island School of Design in Community Arts Education and one from Claremont Graduate University in Arts Administration. She earned her BFA in Fine Art with a minor in Cultural Studies from the California Institute of the Arts.
